Though it’s nearly over, it’s still Visible Monday! Be sure to visit Not Dead YetStyle’s website to see all the participants and what we’re wearing to stick out from the crowd in the best of ways.
The weather is turning warm in Austin, and I am in the process of washing my sweaters, making repairs, and storing them until we meet again in the Fall. Before I close the storage lid on Mother Cashmere, I wanted to wear this little jacket one more time. If it had a name, I would call her “Tippi” because it reminds me of something the actress' character would wear in Bodega Bay in the movie The Birds. That was a great wardrobe in that movie, yes?
the curse of a dark bedroom; it'll be fantastic when it turns 100 degrees outside
I wore this brown cashmere jacket with faux fur cuffs with my dark bootcut jeans, a studded brown leather belt (the only belt I own, so please forgive the selection), a simple black t-shirt, and my pointy chocolate Pikolino's ankle boots. I think the perfect accessories for this jacket are a 1956 Mercedes coupe and a vintage alligator clutch, don’t you?
my eyes seem so small when I look down in the camera
and this is what my eyes look like when they're open; someone I met the other day said I could pass for Hillary Clinton
(and if anyone out there has a 1956 Mercedes coupe or a vintage alligator clutch you're just dying to unload, just send me an email…I'll cover the postage)
